SD19 Touch Screen Display Up to Challenges Enhancing Warfighter Performance

MILITARY EMBEDDED SYSTEMS, July 19, 2016 – Rugged displays are evolving to enhance the situational awareness of today’s warriors but military designers may find adopting these new technologies challenging.

Although display technologies like touch screen and 4K are widely available in the commercial market, adapting them to meet military environmental requirements is challenging.

General Micro Systems, Inc. CEO Benjamin K. Sharfi says part of the challenge for military decision makers will be in how they adopt next-generation display technologies like infrared touch screens that are extraordinarily ruggedized and shock tested like the GMS SD19.
