GMS Cables and Connectors

Developed for the unique highest speed, density and small profile needs of X9 modules, GMS connectors are ~33% the size of MIL-S-38999 connectors and ruggedize the industry’s latest COTS standards unavailable anywhere else.

  • Leading-edge commercial / civilian technologies such as 100Gig-Ethernet,
Thunderbolt 3 or 4, or USB Type-C fiber made rugged
  • Using GMS connectors, never-before-possible technology can come to the rugged battlefield
  • Combined photons and electrons on single cable (fiber + copper)
  • Exceptionally small size, connectors take up less panel real estate – allows more connectors and signals in a smaller space without sacrificing human factors usability
  • For long-haul and EMI/TEMPEST security, GMS offers rugged fiber connectors for 100Gig-Ethernet and fiber optic Type-C for USB4 or Thunderbolt 3 or 4
  • Unique LightBolt technology provides long-haul power over fiber optic cable (works with USB Power Delivery or custom voltage/power)
  • Connector options include easy-to-use SnapFit or 38999-like TwistLock,
    each allowing COTS connector inserts
  • Connectors as associated cables applicable to non-GMS / non-X9 systems
  • Modular design offers customizability for application-specific signals, including EMI protection (MIL-STD-461x) and covers to prevent FOD

GMS Cable Options
