GMS Applied Technology Group at NAB 2014
General Micro Systems, Inc. – Applied Technology Group, a global leader in the design and manufacture of ultra-rugged, high performance computing engines, has just released a series of rugged smart displays named “RuggedView™” and is set to move into the commercial broadcasting arena. GMS will be demonstrating their “RuggedView™” displays in Booth #C1363 during NAB, Las Vegas, April 7-10, 2014. Products in this series include an array of rugged displays ranging from 10” to 65, are available in Standard Definition (SD), High Definition (HD), and Ultra-High Definition (UHD) and offer a host of customization options.
Having produced rugged computing engines for the U.S. Military for over 35 years, GMS has continued to lead the industry by developing innovative products to handle the most extreme environments. The “RuggedView™” line of Rugged Smart Displays have been designed from the ground up to withstand whatever you can throw at them – literally. The screens are protected with the world’s most rugged glass, which can withstand a direct “Boot Kick” without damaging the ultra-bright display or the touch screen.
These smart displays take full advantage of the latest Intel® Quad Core™ i7 processors and are built around GMS’ patented RuggedCool™ technology allowing them to remain fully sealed with an IP66/67 rating and able to take extreme shock and vibe. The “RuggedView™” is the perfect fit for shooting in the field under less than perfect conditions and is built to take on the rigors of rough transport.
