Compact, Ruggedized, Self-Contained Rugged Display w/ Night Vision (NVIS), ThunderBolt™ 4 and Resistive Touch
DISPLAY, TOUCH SCREEN AND
BEZEL BUTTONS
The X9 SPIDER™ Rugged Thunderbolt™ Display is a compact touchscreen display monitor that provides a crisp 12” diagonal LCD panel in the thinnest and most rugged display chassis on the market today. The product is intended for mounted applications and accepts video input from a host computer via Thunderbolt™ 4.
The X9 SPIDER™ Rugged Thunderbolt™ Display is designed to provide the highest level of performance possible in a fully ruggedized, conduction-cooled, completely-sealed system, with an ultra-bright LCD and optional Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS). The X9 SPIDER™ Rugged Thunderbolt™ Display is targeted for applications where a robust display is needed to deliver the best possible monitor, while utilizing rugged interconnects to provide a fully sealed system that has a chassis that is less than 1.25 inches thick.
The X9 SPIDER™ Rugged Thunderbolt™ Display is offered with standard 5-wire resistive touchscreen, which is the most common type of touchscreen for rugged environments due to its reliability and ability to work with gloves.
The X9 SPIDER™ Rugged Thunderbolt™ Display screen is protected with the most robust glass available in the market and can withstand a direct “boot kick” without damaging the display or the touchscreen. The display supports 1280x800 resolution and is sunlight readable with 800 nits (cd/m2, typ.) of brightness.
The X9 SPIDER™ Rugged Display also optionally supports NVIS MIL-STD-3009, which reduces eye strain in applications where night vision glasses are used. A unique “COV” (covert) button instantly lowers or extinguishes the LCD and key backlights to a pre-programmed, ultra-low level for surveillance environments. The COV feature is GMS programmable to customer requirements.
Thunderbolt™ 4 brings unique capabilities to the X9 SPIDER™ Rugged Thunderbolt™ Display and other connected devices.
The X9 SPIDER™ Rugged Thunderbolt™ Display is connected to the Host computer via Thunderbolt™ 4, which can provide up to 40 Gbps of data transfer, including video and USB, as well as providing power directly to the PCI Express® host processor bus from a host computer, up to 50 meters away via GMS’s patented LightBolt™ cable. Thunderbolt™ 4 is compatible with USB4®.
The front panel Zero button can be connected to the Host or local CPU to execute SecureDNA™, GMS’s patented cybersecurity suite which erases storage media and can also erase the BIOS image on the Host (via Thunderbolt™ 4) for complete system sanitization. Zero is a factory programmable function that can realize other functions.
